This study is to examine relations among the number of spectators, social control result of spectator participation factors by analyzing the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup games. 32 soccer games held in Korea were chosen as case studies among the total 64 World Cup games to achieve the objective of the study. The data on this study were obtained from `The police white book on the 2002 World Cup games` by the National Police Agency and `The official report on the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup` by the 2002 World Cup Organizing Committee. And the collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 10.0 statistics software program. Each hypothesis was verified around the level of significance α=.05 by using the statistical techniques, such as Descriptive Statistics, Independent Samples t-test, One-way Anova, Correlation, Multiple Regression and Path Analysis, etc. The following was the result of the study. First, the study revealed significant relationship among the level of interest in the game, the number of spectators and police personnels. In other words, the higher level of interest in the game, the larger number of spectators and police personnels. Second, There was no significant correlation among the risk rate of the game, the number of police personnels and detection equipments, forbidden items. Third, the number of spectators affected the forbidden items, the number of police personnels and detection equipments significantly, so did the level of interest in the game through the number of spectators.
