This study is to compare the ``Red Devils``, the national soccer team supporters, with Hooligan to avoid its ``hooliganizing.`` Soccer mania culture is complex in general with its relations to local culture and ideology. Therefore, this study did not employ traditional comparative methodology in terms of predetermined comparative parameters. Rather, it started with a telling question to find the identity of Hooliganism. Then, as a connecting research question, the commonalities and differences of hooliganism and the Red Devils were studied in an in-depth level. As a result, hooligans around the world have been sticking to such background ideologies as political ultraism, anti-social and anti-cultural negativism, violent vandalism, unique ritualism, and the spirit of belongingness attached to their supporting team. In the comparative analysis, the ``Red Devils`` did not yet seriously spoiled by hooligans major ideologies and behaviors, though they imitated the European supporters` rituals and cheer leading methodologies. Nevertheless, this study found that they have been still at risk to be potential hooligans. In conclusion, this study has made the following suggestions to avoid the Red Devils` hooliganizing: 1) maintaining political neutrality as pure soccer supporters of volunteer spirit, 2) making events family festivals, 3) supporting their mastership and self-regularity, 4) effectively controlling K-league pro-teams supporters, and 5) maintaining the personal balance of life of the supporters not to fall into addiction.
