This article dealed with Women poet’s strategy in late Ming and early Qing, especially Focused on Yuefushi(?府?). Although many women poets could have male relative`s support, but there were much difference in every poets condition.
In addition to that, women poets had no tradition in their gender, so when they expressed something, often faced up to difficulties. At the same time, they couldn`t help caring about the literati`s eyes. At this condition, Yuefushi was the useful method. Because Yuefushi dealed with other`s story, so many people could represent one`s opinion avoiding their position or mind secretly.
I researched eight Women poet`s Yuefushi : XuYuan(徐媛), LuQingzi(?卿子), Shen Yixiu(沈宜修), WangDuanshu(王端淑), WuShao(??), GuRuopu(?若璞), Liyin(李因), ShangJinglan(商景?). There were three ways inWomen poet`s Yuefushi. The first was hiding their mind. XuYuan represented for this type. The second was revealing their gender in their work. LuQingzi represented for this type. Many Yuefushi titles often originated in anonymous women poet, so women poet`s speaking in Yuefushi could recover the original gender. The third was making a counterattack against tradition. WangDuanshu represented for this type.
