"E-learning systems, which have a lot of advantages as follows: helping students save their time and money for travelling, easily interact with teachers, be updated with hot news, have no limit to distance, ect.., have recently been a new development tendency in the national education. Actually, many E-learning systems have been carried out in Vietnam, especially in the universities, which have brought about numerous benefits to students. We need to have suitable teaching methods in the modernization tendency in order that the "speaking" and "writing" situation in universities may be given away. Therefore, applying E-learning to teach in universities is really necessary."
Nowadays, technology and technique have gained numerous achievements. Thanks to the development of digital technology, hardware technology and software technology, people have had chances of using new diversified services.
E-learning systems have been applied in so many fields including Television seminars, electronic commerce, public health, ect. However, the main application is used in the education. Because the systems have specific requirements, they support students by supplying with visual images about subjects and lectures so as to raise teaching effects, especially of abstract and incomprehensible subjects. E-learning courses with the support of multi-media technology have some approach to traditional classes.
It has a positive part in training human resources who can meet the industrialization and modernization requirements of the knowledge economy. It can be affirmed that applying and developing informatics in schools and universities have become indispensable trend. Innovating teaching methods, which makes students more active and creative, is raising the role of information technology in teaching. This is a new way of teaching and teaching supported by information technology may be applied in almost all subjects. Owning to information technology, teachers can introduce new linguistic data with lively events containing abundant illustration pictures. Moreover, along with the support of the multimedia system, it may become a perfect lesson plan which helps student have a passion for studying and uphold their activity of studying lessons.
Information technology is acknowledged to be an indispensable part in education. The Internet is not only an information treasure but also a great encyclopaedic library of human being's as well as a university of the world's. The Internet has changed almost all fields, one of which is teaching and studying method in all universities.
