This paper report on a study of English to Korean translation of conjunctive adjuncts. Particularly this paper is focused on the actual E to K translation trend of conjunctive adjuncts by analysing four different genres of source and target text pairs. First, this paper investigates translation issues of linguitic difference between English and Korean in terms of syntactic, semantic and textual factors, and then explains translational factors with regard to explicitation and normalisation hypothesis in translation. Both the theoretical factors are discussed with actual translation frequencies and percentages. From the data analysis, I argue that Korean translations of English conjunctive adjuncts mostly reflect theme structure of English and has a tendency of explicitation and normalisation which correspond to Korean linguistic and textual characteristics.
