Since the war in the Pacific break out, Lee seok-hun’s(이석훈) “a silent storm”(「고요한 폭풍」) was presented in the magazine kukminmunhak in November 1941. That’s when the pro-japanese writer felt the need to learn japanese mind and to write in japanese. This novel was the story that korean writer leaned the japanese mind and wrote in japanese. So many pre-japanese writer showed an interest in this novel. Meanwhile, Obijujo’s(小尾三十) “Climbing” (?등반?) was presented in the magzine kukminmunhak in February 1944. That’s when korean young people was demanded to take part in the war. This novel was the story that japanese teacher taught korean young student to understand the japanese mind. This two novels held a key post in the literary circles in the end of Japanese colonization era.
Lee seok-hun’s(이석훈) “a silent storm”(「고요한 폭풍」) expressed that colonist felt lonely. Park tae-min, The protagonist of this nevel, always felt alone between korean and japanese. He wanted to show truth about himself, but others doubted the truth. Obijujo’s(小尾三十) “Climbing” (「등반」) showed colonialist’s anxiety. Kitahara, a main character of this novel, felt restless because he don’t know whether korean student, hisayoshi’s truth is feasible or not. Like this, colonialist’s anxiety overlapped so much with colonist’s loneliness. So na-sun-il-chae(內鮮一體) was nothing but illusion.
