This study analyzes the mirror motif and the split aspect of the main agent which are appeared in Lee Sang"s poems and Lee Soong Hoon"s poems from a comparative literary point of view. Lee Sang"s poetical world and Lee Soong Hoon"s poetical world present the "mirror of dis-identification" motif in common in our world of poetry. Their poetical worlds considerably present a discriminative distinction in the telling content and the split aspect of the main agent.
First, the poem「Mirror」of Lee Sang reveals the conflictory composition as "I out of the mirror/ I in the mirror". In every point, the splitting main agent is bound as the identical signifer as "I". However, the splitting main agent of Lee Soong Hoon"s mirror motif does not reveal the conflictory relation as "I/ I". It presents the personal transition as "I / You" or "I / He" and attempts communication and conversation between the main agent and the other.
Meanwhile, the characteristic which Lee Sang and Lee Soong Hoon present in common is that the main agent which is produced out of the symmetrical structure of the mirror also has "the outing motif" which goes out of the mirror. Lee Soong Hoon expands "the outing motif" still more and fosters it to the level of producing the third independent main agent as "Mr . Lee Soong Hoon". Unlike Lee Sang, Lee Soong Hoon"s mirror motif produces the countless others who are able to replicate. This is because the philosophical concept as Post Modernism intervenes the mirror. This phenomenon is supposed to work as the agent of which Lee Soong Hoon"s poems get to the dismantling poems.
The splitting main agent of Lee Sang and Lee Soong Hoon never achieves the union with the other. It comes to choose "disappearing of the main agent" as the method of overcoming discordance. To do this, the pistol which is a tool for committing suicide appears and with the help of it, the killing of the main agent is being attempted. This fact is the significant connecting point that the poem texts of the two poets think in common.
