The purpose of this article is to criticize the key issues of universalism and to support the traditional view on final results of men. Two answers to the questions about the final destiny of men are given in the history of theology. The one is the double results after final judgement and the other, salvation of all. This article considered the logical startingpoint and biblical foundation of the Universalism critically from the traditional view.
I think that their logic might be adequate to raise issues against the traditional views, but is not persuasive. Universalists don’t start their idea from the biblical standpoint, but from emotional, experiential, actual reasons. They present several biblical passages as evidence to prove their theory of the universal salvation of men, including satan, fallen angels. But the bibletexts which they present, don’t say yes clearly to the universalism. On the contrary, they prove the traditional views. This article studied the so-called universalistic texts of the Bible closely considering their context, social background and the situation of the bibleauthors. My conclusion is: The biblical texts attest to eternal heaven and eternal hell, double destiny of men after the final judgment. In this article, I didn’t deal with theological issues of the universalism. I put off the total assessment of universalism.
