The city, as an artificial environment, which consists of the development principle, the structural form, and the ecological principle represents the typical artificial environment allowing people’s residences and activities to be more comfortable. Therefore, the images and scenes of the city involve visual expressions of it’s society, economical atmosphere, and cultural taste. That is, integrated experiences are totally engaged. Similarly, the environment, specially, colour-related one, which is perceived by people’s vision, is one of the important factors to help access the quality and first image of the city.
Recently, the apartment housing which is getting numerous has impact on the scenes around the city. Besides, the design and colour attracts attention.
In this study, the paintings and their colours used in the facade, which is considered as an important factor helping the environment of the city appear more rich, of apartment housing were observed, and the resident’s preferences for exterior materials which are used in planning the colours of the facade in the future are found.
