This paper is a contrastive analysis between speech sounds of Chinese and that of Korean. I will focus on some issues about sandhi, in particular, Linking.
Sandhi is one of the most essential phenomena of language, and it's imperative that the learner understands it to master the object language, And this is why we need the contrastive analysis between Chinese sandhi and Korean's.
The research shown on this paper about student's errors in their pronunciation reveals that most Chinese-learning Korean students cannot correctly pronounce "nasal cody[-n]+vowel".
Furthermore, I will also try to point out that what's causing these inaccurate pronunciation is the difference in sandhi between Chinese and Korean, and finally provide some suggestions for improvement in learning the object language.
