〈KimyoungcheolJeon〉 is a very excellent novel, but its different version is rare. In this paper, I would like to introduce you new Korean manuscripts version of 〈KimyoungcheolJeon〉.
This 〈KimyoungcheolJeon〉 has 46 leaves (92pages), and deals with the story that Kim Young Cheol had to return home and was married. This is equivalent to two thirds of the Pakjaeyeon-version content. Thus, one more was added to the Korean manuscripts version.
This version is much like Pakjaeyeon-version, but it has several different points from that ; popular novel inclination, deep concern about marriage and breakup scenes, frequent quotations of songs and poetry.
The advent of this new text brought several advantages. First, more earnest study of this work was made possible. Second, it also became possible to research of various editions of this work: Korean version novel, Chinese writing version novel, jeon(biography). Finally, it was possible to make textual criticism.
