The present research set the college student majoring in dance and attending a University as a population of the research target, and then extracted specimens of 354 persons through selection of 3 schools including a 4-year dance department by using the stratified cluster random-sampling method.
The purpose of this research is to investigate a relationship between internal motivation and dance activity's satisfaction according to a type of dance major.
This is the questionnaire that Ryan(1982) announced and Seong Chang-Hun(1996) adapted in order to measure internal motivation, and that was used by Yu-Jin and Heo Jung-Hun(2001), and in case of dance activity's satisfaction, the present research has used it after modifying and complementing to conform to the characteristics of dance based on a leisure satisfaction scale that Beard and Rapheb(1980) developed, and that was used in the research of Lee Jong-Gil(1992), Won Hyeong-Jung(1994) and Jung Young-Rin(1997), et. al.
The Cronbach's a of a reliability coefficient for verifying the questionnaire appeared as more than 0.8 in case of internal motivation and more than 0.9 in case of dance activity's satisfaction, so it is reliable, and the processing method of data deduced the following results by executing frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, 1.one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis and multi-regression analysis.
First, it was deduced that the internal motivation according to a type of dance major has difference in tension among subordinate factors.
Second, it was deduced that there are difference in physical, social and environmental factors among subordinate factors of dance activity's satisfaction.
Third, the internal motivation according to a type of dance major has influence on dance activity's satisfaction.
The effort of Korean dance majors has influence on physical satisfaction, and their interest and tension have influence on social satisfaction, and their interest has influence on environmental satisfaction, and their interest and ability have influence on psychological satisfaction.
The internal motivation and interest of ballet majors have influence on physical satisfaction, and their interest and tension have influence on social satisfaction, and their interest have influence on environmental satisfaction, and their interest and ability have influence on psychological satisfaction.
The internal motivation, interest, ability and tension of modern dance majors have influence on physical satisfaction, and their interest and tension have influence on social satisfaction, and their interest has influence on environmental satisfaction, and their interest, ability and effort have influence on psychological satisfaction.
