This study aims to investigate the effect of dance professor’s teaching type on students’ dance confidence and dance ability achievement by establishing 300 students majoring in dance at the department of dance in four-year universities (S university, H university) located in Seoul as a population. For result analysis of this study, total 255 sheets of data were used for actual analysis, and this study carried out methods of frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.
Conclusions obtained through the foregoing are as follows.
First, as a result of analysis on the effect of professor’s teaching type on students’ dance confidence, this study found that both external and internal confidences affect coordinating type and motivation-oriented type.
Second, as a result of analysis on the effect of professor’s teaching type on students’ dance ability achievement, it was revealed that learning-directed type affects achievement of practical skills and motivation-oriented type has an effect on achievement of understanding ability.
Third, as a result of analysis on the effect of students’ dance confidence on dance ability achievement, external and internal confidences turned out to have an influence only on the achievement of understanding ability.
