The purpose of this study is to analyze the structure of productivity and the factors causing changes in productivity in exporting manufactures located in Kyeongnam Province during 2000-2004.
The content of the paper is threefold. First, an empirical method is used to estimate degree of capital intensity, technological innovation, improvement in labor quality and net technological innovation. Second, the empirical results indicate the productivity of exporting manufacturers increased annually 2.8% on average, with a rapid change in service sector. Third, the paper finds the determents of productivity changes and capital productivity, human capital and technical improvement.
