The trend toward regional integrated economic has been growing day by day since the 1990'. A trilateral FTA between China, japan and Korea(CJK) was raised as a possibility after the Asian financial crisis. CJK three contries are holding over a scale of 90% in East Asia's economic. Therefore it is necessary to set up a regional arrangement and systems among the three countries.
Based on the relative theory and empirical analysis, first this research introduces the current progress of CJK FTA, then analyses the feasibility of CJK FTA basing on the realistic condition and expected economic effect.
The significance of a CJK FTA will be highlighted not only in terms of Korea's national interests, but also in terms of regional integration. First, the FTA will bring about massive economic benefits to the three countries in terms of production, trade and economic welfare. Moreover, the establishment of CJK FTA will also contribute to introducing suitable arrangements that will accelerate trade and investment in the region. It is analyzed that a trilateral FTA will be much more beneficial to all the three contries in the region than any bilateral FTA among those countries.
