This paper was described of narrative structure and meaning of 〈Whajyeonga〉 written in 《Sobeksandeagwanlok》 that presented the life history of Dendongeomi. My essential point was presented in the following contents.
First, the narrative structure of this song is the form of the account of her wandering. The account of her wandering was described by omnibus form. In this song, she experience circulation of losing her husband and remarriage in her wandering, from Sunhung(順興) through Ulsan(蔚山) from Sunhung.
Second, in her wandering, she suffered from natural and social disaster. And it presented the structural contradiction of her society in the time. So I could describe of the world view that was constructed by wandering people living in her time through their wandering life presented on the road that connected time and space.
Third, her wandering was self rehabilitation through the overcoming of her disaster and suffer. In her wandering, she truly met herself and set up her goal.
Final, in her suffer, she developed herself. And she returned to her home town that she had lost her husband. In the town, she found her identity and maintained her consistent life. On the summary, the feeling of this song is not tragic but heroic in her lifestyle. And it present her critical consciousness about traditional society that is an androcentric society.
