This paper is to analyze storytelling of simcheong-contents about modern receptions of〈Simcheongjeon〉, namely aspects of reception and transformation of all kinds of media. Recently, as digital technologies are developing and media are various, especially contents which are importances of the origin source are bringing out. So these cases that develop various culture contents after borrowing a subject matter from classical literature, are increasing, especially Pansori(a traditional Korean narrative song) novels are often using, like〈Chunhyangjeon> and〈Simcheongjeon〉.
〈Simcheongjeon〉have been done plenty of receptions unexpectedly not only existing studies but also culture contents. But the study about storytelling of simcheong-contents have been not done as yet. And interests of existing studies are centered literature, like a novel and drama, in the genre of regular culture contents as publication, animation, korean classical opera(Changguk), madangnori(outdoor play), exhibition, festival, and advertisement have been out of one’s reach.
Therefore, this paper sorted through storytelling their an intention of a work, characters and storyline, a meaning of modern receptions, the reaction of the public and so on, with interests of simcheong-contents appeared since 2000. Thus, not only acquire the developing technique of various culture contents after borrowing a subject matter from classical literature, but also it will go far toward revitalization of cultural industry.
