This study is aimed to present the method of study which is helpful for understanding and analyzing poetry. I intend to explicate 〈Sanyuhwa〉 focusing on grammatical morphemes and clarify a variety of characteristics shown in this poem using frequency of phonemes, syllables and words.
The importance of grammatical morphemes are definitely revealed in this poem as well. The meaning of 'san' in 'san-e-neun, san-e-sec and san-e' shown in 〈Sanyuhwa〉 becomes different according to the grammatical morphemes. 'kkot, kkot-i' is the same case. The function which '-ne' shows in 'pi-ne' has a dominant influence in explicating the whole poem.
In the pursuit of more analytic study on this poem, I will figure frequency of phonemes, syllables, words and vocabularies and look into the characteristics of frequency in the viewpoint of informatics. Accurate frequency used in a initial sound, the vowels 〈and semi-vowels〉 of a Korean syllable and a final consonant will be obtained through the consequence of phonemes frequency. According to syllable frequency, it turns out that a final-ending '-ne', a subject particle '-i', a locative '-e', a postposition '-eun/neun', nouns 'kkot', 'san' and a verb 'pi-' are the most frequently used key syllables. It will be very a important task to look into the attributes of the specific vocabularies expressed in a poem through frequency of words.
We can easily find out there is the well-arranged rhythm intended by its author in 〈Sanvuhwa〉. When we pay attention to the arrangement order of first phonemes in words, we can figure out that Kim So-weal wrote 〈Sanyuhwa〉 keeping the impressive attributes of the arrangement in his mind.
