This paper is about a relative Chronology of the pottery of Cheongjeong-ri burials, Yeongcheon.
Cheongjeong-ri burials are located near Kyeongju, where about 1,000 relics were excavated in 77 three-kingdoms Age burials and we will analyze unit of ancient tombs.
The analysis procedure is as follows.
First, I chose model vessel of all the vessels.
Next, I set the phase of vessel through typology and seriation according to its property.
Lastly, I tried relative chronology by comparing with the vessels in Kyeongju.
As a result of our analysis, I could make certain that this vessel Cheongjung-ri burials are divided into 9 type-groups and between 4C and 7C, these vessels started as an old rite stoneware pottery and it became a type of Silla pottery and finally unified Silla pottery.
By use of our analysis, this burials had something to do with Kyeongju in the comparatively early days and had a good continuous relationship with Kyeongju until unified Silla.
