The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effects of career plateau on the relationship between personality related jobs and subjective career success. Data were collected from the employees of room, food & beverage and managerial departments of five-star hotels in Korea. Path analysis was employed by examining hypotheses. These are the research findings. First, personality related jobs has significant influences on subjective career success. Second, in comparison with indirect and direct effects of the mediating variable, the career plateau, the indirect effects were indicated. The mediating effects of it on the relationship between personality related jobs and subjective career success were confirmed. The article suggests implications for hotel managers and future study.
