The purpose of this study is to find a way to reach the young generation, the Net Generation. As the term implies, this generation is comfortable using the Internet, which has advanced from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0. This calls for Christian educators to understand the new form of the web, Web 2.0. This article investigates the Net Generation and Web 2.0. The Net Generation, also called Generation Y or Digital Natives, are heavy users of the Internet, and have characteristics of digital literacy, Internet familiarity, and connection through networked media. The most distinctive difference between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 is that while Web 1.0 is only for one-way communication, Web 2.0 enables two-way communication. In Web 2.0, users of the web utilize the web as a platform to generate, share, and consume content. The Web has become an open space that users can interact, collaborate, and work with each other. Applications of Web 2.0 include blogs, wikis, social networking, social bookmarking, media sharing, and syndication. The Internet is so embedded in the lives of the Net Generation that it is crucial for ministers and teachers of Christian education to utilize the applications of Web 2.0 to reach out this generation.
