This essay is to introduce historical materials about ancient Korean music and its ceremonial dresses which belonged to ancient Koguryo's musical instruments and their ceremonial dresses. Now all these are in japan's Shoso-In(正倉院) and Saidai-ji Temple Collection(西大寺資材帳). Shoso-In is a well-known historical treasure collection. This collection was consisted with many kinds of ancient treasure of such kingdoms as T'ang(唐), Unified Silla(統一新羅), japan. This is a valuable historical asset of the ancient Eastern Asia. Some remains had been transmitted from the Korean Peninsular into japan during the ancient ages. There are many kinds of dance and music ceremonial dresses. And about twentieth of a hundred-odd ceremonial dresses belonged to Koguryo's. All these Koguryo's dresses used in the buddhist ceremony held at Todai-ji(東大寺) on April 9, 752 to celebrate sacred ceremony with putting eyes in the face of the Great Buddha Statue(大佛開眼會). On the while, Serdaesa Temple Collection was a kind of property which belonged to this temple. These historical books had been researched and documented in 780. Specially, we can see the pictures about Koguryo's musical and dance instruments. And so, these are very important historical materials to understand ancient Koguryo and Samhan(三韓)'s music and clothe history. Of course, very meticulous attention is demanded when historians use this materials because the used music of Todai-ji's ceremony, for example, could not be discerned whether it belonged to all the ancient Korean many kingdoms' music such as Koguryo, Baekjae(百濟) and Silla(新羅)'s or Koguryo alone.
