Buildings of Koguryo and Paekche have limitation on the form of remains which found out through excavation and ancient tomb such as castle fortress wall, temples, and housing architecture. Especially, buildings of Koguryo and Paekche were not be able to handed down due to the limitation of wooden buildings that can't exist for a long time through experiencing several wars. Thus, there are numerous difficulties in grasping figures of pillars which is the important aspect of periodical formal changes in buildings, structure techniques of bracket sets, and culturable schemata of roof materials. Especially, transmitted cultural assets enabling to infer the architectural culture of the Paekche period are pagoda of gold plated metal piece excavated from the site of temple in BuYau, roof tiles used in the roof, landscape painting brick, base stone and platform in all.
In this study, the then architectural forms of palace building, temple building and house building of Koguryo and Paekche were analyze on the basis of excavated remains of the Paekche Dynasty and the building science of design drawn in the Koguryo mural paintings. It could be aware that Koguryo and Paekche had developed their forms based on the same style of architecture and then became expressed their own good points as their characteristics by introducing new culture and development respectively. In order to analyze this architectural culture, we examined the architectural functions which coped with the intellectual demand of human beings and usefulness, and found out the variety a style architecture of which shows emotional demands and characteristic.
