Although it is an extremely limited data, Jandangodaeyeonui, a transcribed material in Hangul, shows an aspect of translation, orthography, exclamation, gerund endings, and the tense-aspect system among Korean grammatical phenomenon. By observing those, we are able to check a portion of Korean language phenomena in late modem Korea. For this reason, this data takes an important role as much as xylographic materials.
First, when Chinese was translated to Korean, there are cases which the exact words in Chinese were used in Korean, and by adapting the exact Chinese phrase to Korean instead of translating them to Korean grammatical order, the influx of expressing Korean in Chinese ways was resulted.
Second, a characteristic of the orthography of this novel is that the transcription of syllabic finals 'ㅊ' and 'ㅌ is written to 'ㅅ', and that it reflects a neutralization by writing 'ㅍ' to "ㅂ' just as in the early middle Korean.
Third, this novel contains, among the interrogatives of the late middle Korean, the particle '-go's of explanatory interrogative sentence, the particle '-ga's of yes-no interrogative sentence, and "-nda's and '-lda's that is in concord with second person pronoun.
Fourth, the sentence final ending of exclamatory sentence in the late middle Korean was '-doda/-roda', '-gona, -ndyeo, -lssyeo, -ji motgera'.
Fifth, the gerund ending of this novel is '-m' and '-gi'.
Finally, for the tense-aspect system in relation to '-eos-j-as-' in this data, the past tense morpheme '-deo-' and '-geo-' of the late middle Korean and the present tense morpheme '-n?-' changed its function to past imperfect, past perfect, and a morpheme that represents the aspect of present respectively after the integration of '-deo-, -geo-, -n?-' to morphemes; thereafter, only '-eos-/-as-' are undertaking the past.
