What most studies on the identity of evangelical Christian education emphasize greatly is that it is based on the Bible. This study is to establish a structural framework of church education theory on the basis of Ephesians 4:1-16, which is called, 'pedagogical ecclesiology'. Firstly, I made an exegetical study on the text, and then investigated the characteristics and basic principles of church education from it. In order to examine the basic principles of church education, I made use of three frames of educational philosophy: metaphysics, epistemology and axiology. As a foundational work to make a structural framework of church education, I also dealt with the compositional elements of church education, namely educational objective, curriculum, teaching methods, and educational evaluation. This study will help to establish the 'pedagogical ecclesiology' for renewing of church education and also evangelical Christian Education.
