I must refer previously that I perform methodologically the methods of historical-critical research in order to study on the Epic Dangun's. Firstly I will observe the various viewpoints of 6 Theologians (and 1 historian among of them) and secondarily I will propose my own's 'Uminterpretation' through the historical-critical methods for the Bible-exegesis. And then last I will summerize the common consideration of 6 scholars and compare the thouhgts between contents of Dangun Epic and mythical discpritions of the Old Testament.
Espescially I will consider intensively the conception of the only God and find their monotheistic God's understanding between the Dangunmyth and the Old Testament. Concretly saying agree the Heavenly God with JHWH God of the Israelites together.
About these refer several researchers already in last century.
See and investigate then in the order the viewpoints of 6 scholars in following :
1. Yun, Sung-Bum (Prof. Methodistic College) : He has said prominently the common character between the Dangun's Epic and christian Monotheism, because Dangun's Epic is able to be capacity(vessel) to put in Evangeliens. But he refered that monotheism belongs to believer's belief on own's religion. also it's character is passed for tolerance, relativity and neutrality. Prof.Yun opend the way of dialogue between a religion and an another religion. And in the relationship between Hwan-Woong(桓雄) and Woong-Nyeo(熊女) is found the Self-Negation and the heart of believe by her.
2. Ham, seok-hun(Thinker/History Educator) : He refered always sharply indivisibility between religion and politics. He used to emphasize that the thought of religion(christianity) should be accomplished in the actual world. The several asiatic Religios, Confuzianism,Taoism and Buddhism have their's God as Sang-Je and Sang-Je was changed in the Heavenly highst God. But korean Christian called historically their monotheistic God and Heavenly God(天神) without differentia. And Ham said that Heavenly God is moral and ethical.
3. Kim, In-su(Pastor) : He proclaimed that Dangun's Heavenly God is originally the Highst God of Chosun. He difined original Hwan-In as monotheistic God, and at same time is he Dangun's God, Chosunite's God and God of Human. Dangun's Heavenly God is called as JHWH-God of Israelites. Kim, In-Su seems to be acknowledged the Historicity of Dangun's Heavenly God firstly more than another.
4. Ryu, Dong-Shik(Prof. Univ. Yeon-Sei) : Free himself from the Dogmacomplexion of Christian Trinity, he describes a substance of the God's Understanding of Chosunite. It is triad Poles in Harmony. They are three viewpoints: 1) Believe in Heavenly God, 2) Union with God in Self-Negation, 3) Union with God and God's Helfer as Human in the productive culture and human's prayer for the Victory in War and Protection against enemies. He develops proper Thought for Understanding of God and man calls so-called1 "Union in the triad-poles" and "Harmony through Self-Negation".
5. Kim, Kwang-Shik(Prof. Univ. Yeon-Sei) : He has defined that the thought of Dangun-myth is a Self-understanding of Chosunites and Expression of his Self-consciousness. He has classified conceptually europian Isolization and asiatic Harmony, because the Human is essentially a Being between the uncomplete and complete. Also he could reach with sincerity to "Tao(道)". Such Self-developing concerns Union of the Li-Ki(理氣). In other Word means it 'Idea-Matter' in hellenistic thought. Anyway he insists that Human-being has his source in 'Hwan-In'. Becoming of Human has will of Self-Salvation.
6. Park, Jong-Cheon(Prof. Methodistcollege) : He emphasizes the position of feminine Woong-Nyeo more than masculine Genealogy of 'Hwan-In, Hwan-Woong and Hwan-Gum. He interprets 'Woong-Nyeo' as 'People-Class'. Especially a Union Woong-Nyeo's with 'Hwan-Woong is interpreted in Self-transcendence through the Holy-Spirit. He emphasizes individual reverence(value) of Human. Probably he concerns with social reform and democratization through movement of 'People-class'.
Reinterpretation('Uminterpretation') of Dangun-Epic :
With aspects and common concerns of the refered 6 scholars I will summerize contents of Dangun-Epic and at same time I will remove angles of the viewpoint and I utilize methodologically historical facts, ancient proper Relgion, philosophy, literature, archeology and folk-customs in prehistorical (stone-age) and bronze periods. While 6 scholars interpreted Dangunmyth religionsphilosophically and pschologically, I have dealed with the Dangun's Epic in connecting of the both sides 'culturehistorical facts and their mythical worlds'. I endowed the spiritual-theological meaning on contents of culturalhistorcal phases. They could be not contradictory concepts between the religious and the secular. Above all I reinterpret(uminterpretiere) the Dangun's Epic in the form and content differently and anew other than 6 refered scholars with 6 subjects.
