This thesis has tried to illuminate the corporality of abjection as an excretive imagination operated in Jilmaje Myths. It has been therefore embodied through the ‘body mothered' body by the various repugnant categories which have been forbidden in the name of ‘impurity.’ The ‘body mothered' is the other name of shaman sacredness differentiated against all the order of symbolic world as power, ethics, moral, authority, rule, and absolute sacredness. The returning into the inwardness of the maternal body which making parturition, menstruating, and being polluted has been exposed as abjections by gluttony and intemperance, dung and piss, sex and blood, ashes and corpses, and the likes. Then natural and aesthetic experiences of Jilmaje people was purified by these abjections and had the meaning of religious sacredness. This corporality of abjection has led poetry of Jung-Joo, Seo to a kind of ‘metaphysics’ that have refused divisions between man and god, this and the other world, past and present, myths and realities. And these have led its ‘metaphysics’ to discovery of the maternity as physiological discovery of the body. By these mythical discourses, Jung-Joo, Seo has activated contradictiveness, mixedness, and confusedness of our lives by polluting and erasing border lines among heterogeneous things that have been divided and separated. It has been not only a scrutiny into the essence of human body and life but also a work bestowing concrete reality and new materiality on the symbolic world named ‘Jilmaje village.’
