The aims of this paper are to establish text producing theory, and then to study on Heosaengjeon and creative writing from point of this theory. That are summarized as follows:
We need to redefine text, intertext, pretext, context, and antitext. Pretext is existing before to state. Text producer must grasp it by field trip or records. Context is the circumstance the text is produced by text producer. Text producer considers the individual, historical, and social context. Intertext is a text which related with the main text. The (main) text the text that text producer means to produce. Antitext is denying the intertext produced ahead of main text. the main text is produced by antitext. Creative writing is to produce the main text by denying the intertxet.
Heosaengjeon is very creative work by Park ji-won who is a prominent writer. Therefore we can verify the creative writing theory through the creating process of it. The pretext of Heosaengjeon is an argument about expedition to conquer the north in the middle 17th century, social and economical tendency, and political actuality. The context of Heosaengjeon is his scholarship consciousness, and his Yielha trip as an unofficial suite of the envoy's visit. Mr. Park created the work by denying the intertext ahead of main text, Yadam. Yadam is traditional narrative recorded by chinese characters in the latter period of Joseon dynasty. Intertext of Heosaengjeon is the tales about acquisition of wealth, expedition to conquer the north, and rising of the status. And the tales of Heorsaeng type that similar Mr. Park's Heosaengjeon. But Mr. Park denying these pretext.
Mr, Park criticized sharply about expedition to conquer the north. And he gave up his wealth which had attained by his trade. And also he refused the appointment suggested by the person in authority. Mr. Park united and restructured these tales. With the result, Heosaengjeon was become creative work distinguished intertext, Yadam.
Through the produce of Heosaengjeon, creative writing is to create the method of denying the intertext. To Deny the intertext must be intending to the universal value of human beings.
The education of creative writing is to apply the layers of the text that taken part in the text producing. A teacher must control the intertext, pretext and context according to student's level.
