The purpose of this study is to disambiguate senses of korean adverb, 'geuman(그만)' and to find factors which make this disambiguation. Statistic analysis are implemented in sample corpus, and we finds some factors that affects ambiguation of korean adverb 'geuman'. First, the meaning of 'geuman' is pretty closely related to the contiguity between adverb' geuman' and verb; if a verb follows directly 'geuman', it has a meaning of [Prohibition]. Otherwise, it has a meaning of [Non-permission]. A usage of non-permission is divided into [a end of old event and a start of new event] and [unintentional development of event], and each usage has a different list of verbs that can be modified. Also, a semantic class of verb must be considered to disambiguate adverb 'geuman'.
Second, grammatical elements influence the meaning, and they include a tendency of the mood and a combination with auxiliary verb.
Finally, we can find that supra-segmental elements like a intonation and combination pattern can contribute to the disambiguation.
