DongMongSooDokCheonJaMoon(童蒙須讀千字文) is a kind of CheonJaMoon(千字文) and it was wroted by patriot Kim Tae Rin. Kim Tae Rin(金泰麟 1869 ～1927년) who lived in CheongDo between the end of 19th century and beginnig of 20th century. Kim Tae Rin criticized the traditional CheonJaMoon because it was not a suitable book to study Chinese characters(漢字) for beginners. So he wroted DongMongSooDokCheonJaMoon to teach Chinese characters to children. The Chinese characters included in this book was completely different from traditional CheonJaMoon.
DongMongSooDokCheonJaMoon has many features of KyeongSang(慶尙) dialect. There are many phonological elements and lexical elements of KyeongSang dialect. In this paped I gave an account of these elements that was included in DongMongSooDokCheonJaMoon. I think DongMongSoo-DokCheonJaMoon is a kind of Classified CheonJaMoon(分類千字文). The Chinese characters included in Classified CheonJaMoon are different from traditional CheonJaMoon’s Chinese characters. The fundamental principle of arrangement in Classified CheonJaMoon is composing one thousand Chinese characters in meaning category.
I explained the career and activity of Kim Tae Rin through the collection of his works. And I described the orthography and phonological change appeared in DongMongSooDokCheonJaMoon, for exemple vowel raising, vowel fronting, vowel merger, h-palatalization, k-palatalization, I also annotated some special Korean translation of a Chinese character and its pronunciation.
