This study is to analyze how “Dat-bae-sing” has been transmitted or performed with the existed nine data. This study assumes that first, the song has a suitable structure for a labor and secondly, the song itself has a function of expressing emotion or an entertaining functions rather than a practical function. Unfortunately, this study can’t compare a labor rhythm with a musical rhythm. Also this study can’t make a decision that the practical function of the song is weak. Therefore, this study considers the fact that each song interacts each other comparatively in free as the song’s “flexible function.” Futhermore, the context of changing song can be meant the changing current of being negotiated in a croaker fishing field and the changed current in the aspect of performalization.
The first negotiation aspect exists in that a fishery folk song concerned with Dar-bae in Jo-do area negotiates with other fishery folk song from Chil-san-do or An-ma-do by means of a fishery work, which let the fishery folk song of Jo-do expropriate a new folk song. Therefore, it can be said that the primary songs are more close with a regional folk song in Jo-do area.
Secondly, at an aspect of performalization, the considered point with an importance can be the set combined with the name of Dat-bae. That is, “Sool-bi-so-ri”, “Poong-jang-so-ri”, and “Paddling song” exist independently, but these songs are requested a regularity, combined with the set, “Dat-bae-so-ri”, This can be caused to trap the various song in the regular frame. Because of this reason, dance directors or drama directors may make the drama like holding a memorial service for the repose of the Dragon King or utilize the way to connect from a slow tempo to a fast one. Especially, the invisible requests presupposed to appoint Nam-do Culture Contest or the intangible culture assets maybe make an effect continuously. There is an evidence in that the set construction of Dat-bae song in 1976 and 1993 was accomplished by participating in Namdo Culture Contest. In other words, Dat-bae song has been changed by the reality like the first prize in Nam-do Culture Contest and the appointment as an intangible culture assets, that is, the performalization.
