This thesis executes the comparative analysis to the history educational system and the educational targets of the main countries which lead the flow in the world, i.e., the United States, Britain, France, Russia, Japan and China. And this thesis gropes for the method proposal of strengthening the Korean history educational system on the ground of those analysis.
We usually translate the history of our country as ‘The National History’ and understand as it. But It is wrong. ‘The History of Past Successive States in Korea’ is the suitable translation. And It is an understanding system unrelated in nationalism. We need to educate this understanding to the young students for overcoming of our divisional situation.
We are able to clearly check that every country sets up the course of history education as a individual subject, and tries to strengthen the education of its own country. So we propose the method of strengthening the education of our own country.
1) We have to carry out the course of history education to an independent subject.
2) We have to grope for a program which accepts a history teacher's special nature and raises it.
3) It is the proper way to devide the history education system to two parts, ‘The History of Past Successive States in Korea’ and ‘The world history’.
4) We have to specify the world history to an obligatory subject.
5) The work which materializes and systematizes the educational end of history subject is urgent.
6) We have to devote ourselves to developing a right textbook of ‘The History of Past Successive States in Korea.’
7) We must build the study system based on our high-tech of information and communication networks.
