The urban planning in Korea under the Japanese rule must be studied from all quarters. First to be considered is urban planning projects that had been carried out before the Town Planning act was instituted and put in force. This point, I already mentioned in the previous number.
The urban planning under the Japanese rule in Korea was mainly carried out under the Town Planning Act enacted in 1934. This study has dealt with the reason for the institution, the characteristics, and the range of regional application of this regulation.
The regional planning, the land subdivision, and the urban planning projects under the Air Defense Act. etc. will be researched in the next number.
