The purpose of this study is to research the specific character of desire. The early 1950s' Korean society is to be start surging of nihilism, existentialism. In those days, postwar writers emphasize gloomy reality of the postwar. Generally, they tried to hold up a true mirror to the consciousness about scar of the postwar.
Their works are substantially as follows. That is to say their works dealing with the criticisms of the postwar relying, the novels which approached the postwar problems using the war as a medium were analyzed. Also the works which are criticizing the aspects of the social system are analyzed, works based on war-experienced soldiers, who tried to return to their daily life but faced the absurd and inconsistent reality, caused by the aftereffect of the Korea war end additionary, their expressions and there consciousness of criticism.
To the point, Kim Sung-Han, Sea Ki-Won also are not an exception. But they occasionally emphasize character of the desire in the novels. They reflect on their conduct to be tender of the purification about desire.
To conclude, they are not the same as most postwar writers. Because they especially emphasize essential human.
