It was an important era for Chinese ancient Confucianism, Zen Buddhism and literature During the period of 'Dali' and 'Zhenyuan' after the "An Lushan and Shi Siming's rebellion" in Tang Dynasty. There were many changes in the three field. The new characteristics of Confucianism and Zen Buddhism had already appeared during the "Dali" Period. It was very common for Confucianism and Zen Buddhism to absorb and acknowledge each other. Formally, the ideology in 'Da li' Period was not unified. But in fact, It was a special expression of ideology in the new historical condition. This characteristic had influenced the poets on artistic pursue, artistic expression and language usage in "Dali" Period and followed thoroughly. The poets strived to study Confucianism and Zen Buddhism deeply. They were half Confucianism and half Zen Buddhism on one occasion and whole Confucianism and whole Zen Buddhism on other occasions. Their psychology was very complicated. There were much exchange and mix between Confucianism and Zen Buddhism. "The view of Confucianism and Zen Buddhism" and "the view of cause" among the poets made it not only paradox but also comprehensive between the opinion of "in the world" and "outside the world", "working for the king" and "working for the Buddha". The effect was that there were two kinds of different styles on artistic expression in the poems during "Dali" Period in the Tang Dynasty. They are not only vulgar but also refined. They are not only concentrated but also unconventional. But the inherent psychological mechanism was the same. And the context of literature was multiplal, too.
