The study start these questions. Is there any relation between Korea christianity and the legend of Tangun? Did have believed Chinese people and Japan People also this heavenly God as deeply as Korean?
In Chinese, from Qin Shi Huang old belief of heavenly God(天) transformed as a Son of Heaven (天子) of political ideology. Likewise Shintoism in Japan have mixed belief of Tenno(天皇) as Kami(神) and Nationalism.
Hanin(桓因) of Tan-Gun(檀君) legend is heavenly God(하느님). Korean people have traditionally believed this heavenly God. Because of deep believing in heavenly God(하느님), any Korean Kings insisted themselves as Son of Heaven(天子) or Tenno(天皇). Specially, when western christianity were introduced in Korea, because of this deep believe in heavenly God, Korean Christian translated the Tahweh Elohim of the Bible into heavenly God(하느님) of Hanin(桓因) in the Legend of Tangun. This belief of heavenly God have palyed very important role in the reception of Christianity and growth of church in Korea.
