The documents of Korean Catholic Church since the 1846 persecution have been sorted out into two categories: government record and church record. Both records are related with 1866 persecution. The former is about the inquire and punishment on the arrested Catholics while the latter is about the investigation and court records for beatification of the victims.
The church record is as follows: 'Chimyeong ilgi' (致命日記), 'Martyr' s Testimony Record of Byeongin Persecution' (丙寅迫害殉敎者證言錄), 'Byeongin Chimyeong Sajeok' (兵寅致命事蹟), 'Park Sun-lip' s Testimony Record' (朴順集證言錄), 'Beatification Court Record' (諡福裁判記錄), 'Byeongin Chimyeong Sajeok' is the most comprehensive record, and 'Martyr's Testimony Record of Byeongin Persecution' is a part of 'Byeongin Chimyeong Sajeok' . Even though 'Park Sun-lip's Testimony Record' was made with a certain intention, it' s also a part of 'Byeongin Chimyeong Sajeok' .
In sum, the original church records include 'Byeongin Chimyeong Sajeok, Vol. 1 of 'Park Sun-lip' s Testimony Record' , part of 'Chilmyeong ilgi', Document #145 of 'Martyr's Testimony Record of Bye on gin Persecution'
