Report Errors
The purpose of this study is to consider the role of family
education for children (7-11-year-old) in the information society. This article is viewed in Christian perspective. Certainly most believe that the information society gives positive contributions in developing children education, it is also true that it involves negative aspects. For instance, our children, living the information society, are exposed to things such as pornography, wrong values, violence, the lack in the development of social skills. etc. By these negative influences, the duty of Christian parents in home needs to be emphasized. Thus this paper tries to suggest the alternative direction of family education against the destructive influences of the information society. Therefore horizontal and vertical approaches of Christian family
education will be investigated as the way of supporting parents to
raise children with Christian values who are negatively affected by
the information society.
