This thesis is to research 'the journalist' Kim Ki-Rim and his text as journalism text. So, the point of view of this thesis should start from the premise that the text should be regarded as not 'a modernist poet' but 'a work of a journalist'. Kim's vision on literature and realities is based on the world-cognition as a journalist and the universal insight as an intellectual. but untill now, most of researchers have paid attention to one side of Kim Ki-Rim and his texts. So, they have regarded his texts as modernism text.
His writings appeared not only on arts pages but also science columns. That means the fact that most of his works were not 'pure literary art' and they should be treated as 'feuilleton'. And his life as an intellectuals were represented in his literature. I think that, therefore, there are the fallacies of interpretation on Kim's texts. For example, some researchers regard his activity and literature in 'The space of free'(해방공간) as only 'a transformation of a modernist'. Then, the problem of interpretation on his literature was initiated, here.
In this thesis, I tried to make clear that we should have a different point of view on Kim and his text should be estimated otherwise. In addition to, I introduced the new materials of Kim and his text into this thesis.(Kwangwoon University)
