In three volumes of Korean novels, Jesus Christ plays an important role. The three volumes are Shdphan's Cross written by Dong-Ri Kim, A Testimotry about Judas Ircariot written by Do-Gi Paik and Man's Son written by Mun-Yeol Yi. By the way, only Shaphan's Cmu describes Jesus Christ' resurrection in its main text. Shdphan's Cross has two editions. One is the original text(1958), the other is the revised text(1982). In the original text, Dong-Ri Kim depends much on John in Bible. But he boes not follow faithfully the content of John in relation to Jesus Christ's resurrection. Speaking more concretely, he is confused in the face of this fact of resurrection and hesitates in deciding his attitude.
On the other hand, Dong-Ri Kim does not rely on John in the revised text(1982). In this text, he shows very free attitude in imagination and description. And he denies the content of John in relation of Jesus Christ's resurrection. The intensity of denial of this text is stronger than that of the original text.
In the revised text, Dong-Ri Kim makes a story about the life of Jesus Christ after hie death on the cross. Due to this story, the revised text gets more clear structure in plot than that of the original text. But this story has very popular character. On account of this story, the character of Jesus Christ in Shdphan's Cross loses its consistency.
