After examing the middle and high school Korean history books, t would like to pinpoint the following problems.
The overall impression is that the textbook has been constructed with substantial carelessness. Many facts have been ambiguously explained with few grounds, so as to make the reader very hard to understand. In regard to such problems, the established studies are apt to pass the responsibilities to the publication authorities, but it is the writer of the textbooks, in my opinion, who are ultimately to blame.
The writers are obviously credited in the middle and high school Korean history books. However, in high school history books, the major problem rises in the fact that the Choson specialists are involved in writing the politics of the ancient ages. Hence, the broadening of writing group is necessary by seeking many ways including consulting with the associated academy.
Most of all, it is up to the writers who must be committed to making the high-quality textbooks. The textbook that has numerous student readers must have such standards, as to give the students healthy historical consciousness.
