In history. there are many matters which have presented the characteristics of a country through the clothes of a century. EspeciallY. the developmental degree of materials of a cloth is very important, because it is a measure of the developmental degree of the technology of weaving cloth. Also. because the technology of weaving cloth and fabrics are a standard of life culture of a country. these are very importantly considered. So. some researchers have thought that the technology of weaving cloth and fabrics are considered as characteristics of life culture of a country. Fabrics were originated from the area where culture started in the Neolithic era except some special cases.
The fabric have already developed in A.D. The fabrics have been commerced with moving of people of the world in the middle age. Therefore, the culture of fabrics have expressed characteristic of all over the world in the middle ages.
The object of this thesis is understanding of cloth's materials and the technology of weaving cloth of Koryo through trade or relationship between Koryo and counties around Koryo. Especially. there is an aim to ascertain the appearance of dress and its ornaments of Koryo through researching what kind of materials of cloth were traded between Koryo and countries around Koryo.
