The Korean educational system is strongly recommended to reinforce world history education to keep pace with globalization. To improve world history education in middle school, the curriculum has to make one textbook that contains premodern and modern history as well as oriental and western history. Also, the teacher who majored in history should instruct the world history textbook through two semesters. In the Korean middle school curriculum, geography, social studies and world history are all in one subject, under the name of "Integrated Social Studies". To improve world history education, the middle school curriculum has to take out world history from the integrated social studies, at least the world history textbook take out from the integrated social studies textbooks.
And in middle school, the world history textbook should be made easier for the middle school students to understand, so that the students can just read and understand at the same time. To improve world history textbook in Korea, first of all, it is recommended that the textbook changes its writing style. The world history textbook contains so many chinese characters and historical facts are too difficult to understand. And a subtext is needed to provide a historical narrative about some important people in the world history.
