Silko' s Ceremony shows well the ecological thoughts and ideas of North American Indians. The ecological concepts in the work are mainly based on the key word 'becoming formed by spiritual trans-communication between natural environments and Pueblo indians. Tayo's journey in Ceremony can be described as a process of rehabilitating ecological consciousness. In other words, by adopting Deleuzian concepts of ecological nature, the sense which Tayo shares with ecological nature is configured to be a principle of ecological immanence.
Tayo is on the liminal space between Indians and whites, Laguna and its outside world, and different histories. So Tayo' s journey seems to be deterritorializing his consciousness in which he has suffered from the oedipalized and traumatic state since World War two. Tayo is free from a distinctive borderline between the self and the other. Each different consciousness he came to gain in the journey offers him the repetitive experience of different specific time and space. Consequently his journey is a process of making a cultural and epistemological map of Indian world. The map is like a topological landscape of the land with which he embodied himself. That is, in ecological life, the indians are integrating themselves with natural environments.
