The purpose of this study is to analyze the amending contents of the existing Building Codes(BC) from 1962 to 1999, on the basis of forming and its variation of building space, and then finds their relations and characters.
This study consists of three parts : shape control, bulk control and landscape. As Korean indigenous social development has led the BC where it stands now, the shape of BC cannot be understood independently from the citizens attitudes level towards law and quality of life. Nation's cultural background do not seems to play key roles in the making and implementation of the BC. Especially Yin Yang Non do not manage to prevail in the course of implementation. The amendments of BC is perfected only on the current problem, not interrelation of current and ideal fact.
