Up to this point, I have examined the historical development as well as the current problems of the Korean Building Codes in the light of social change in the course of nation's modernization.
As a developing nation, Korea still is at its adolescent stage as far as Building Codes(BC) and City Planning Codes(CPC) are concerned. The significance of BC in the nations building industry as well as citizens everyday quality life can not be called too much. Though any sort of philosophical or theoretical perfection cannot be attained solely on the shaping of BC, the nations cultural background seems to play key roles in the making and implementation of the BC.
