The high-rise mixed-use buildings which are recently
rising again as urban housing types are the alternatives
in solving the urban housing problems, but there are lots
of problems to improve in the affordable habitability and
so forth.
So the purpose of this study is to suggest some improvements
and development directions of the high-rise mixed-use
buildings in Seoul area.
Firstly, the building types by 'the mixture of function'
and 'the intention of development' was studied. Secondly,
questionaire studies was carried out to find out the general
characteristic, inclination and housing satisfaction of
habitants. The last one is to synthesize and analyze all
of data As the result, some improvements directions are suggested
from the analysis of the case studies and the questionaire.
And then it follows the suggestions to the development
directions of the high-rise mixed-use buildings in Seoul area.
The results of this study are presented as design guidelines
to be considered in planning of a mixed-use buildings.
Hereafter, more studies and researches about the high-rise
mixed-use buildings is expected for solving urban housing
problems.
