Objective: The purpose of this study is to observe the experiences of children, elderly, teachers, and parents who make up the educational community through an intergenerational exchange program between elderly and children. Method: The subjects of this study were 36 five-year-old children attending G workplace daycare in G province, 36 elderly people aged 71 to 89 affiliated with K social welfare center, 15 participating teachers, and 36 parents. The study was conducted using qualitative research methods based on interviews with children, the elderly, teachers, and parents conducted after each specific program. Results: The children felt emotional bonds with the elderly and began to see them as friendly and capable individuals, experiencing joy in doing activities together. They also started associating all grandfathers and grandmothers with the concept of family, rather than just their own. Teachers felt a strengthening of intergenerational connections and redefined the meaning of their own later life, expanding their perception of educational resources and strengthening their sense of community. The elderly showed pride and responsibility as educators, along with emotional bonds with the children. Parents recognized the educational effectiveness of exchanges between their children and the elderly, moving from initial negativity and distance to gratitude and positive recognition. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that intergenerational exchange programs between children and the elderly positively influence the perceptions of all members of the educational community. It is suggested that these programs be expanded and continued.
