The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effect of career adaptability in the relationship between psychological career barriers and career involvement behavior as perceived by college students majoring in beauty. Between July 1 and July 19, 2024, a survey of 280 college students majoring in beauty was conducted. After 8 were excluded, 272 students were used in the final analysis. . Frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and three-step mediated multiple regression analysis were conducted on the data using the SPSS Ver. 26.0 (IBM, USA) program. Our results found that the psychological career barrier of college students majoring in beauty had negative effects on career adaptability and career involvement behavior. Furthermore, a partial mediating effect of career adaptability was found in the relationship between psychological career barriers and career involvement behavior. Simply put, it was found that career adaptability and career involvement behavior weaken when psychological career barriers are strongly recognized. These research results confirmed that psychological career barriers and career adaptability are important variables that influence career involvement behavior. In addition, it is believed that these results can serve as basic data that can contribute measures to overcome and eliminate psychological career barriers and strategic career counseling measures that can promote career adaptability.
