This study analyzed reviews of Korean cosmetics on Amazon to investigate factors related to customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction, and examined topics of interest regarding Korean cosmetics. TF-IDF analysis and LDA topic modeling analysis were used as research methods. The results revealed that keywords related to positive emotions, continued use, and usage experience emerged as satisfaction factors for both skincare and makeup products. Dissatisfaction keywords included negative emotions, side effects, cost, and packaging. Specifically, for makeup products, dissatisfaction was driven by mismatches in color expectations and usage experiences. When examining what consumers mentioned about Korean cosmetics, it was found that mask packs are considered a good value and of good quality, essences are praised for their safe ingredients and effectiveness, foundation cushions are valued for their natural feel and coverage, and lipstick is noted for its color and lasting power. There was also interest in cosmetic ingredients that may cause side effects and in unique cosmetic ingredients. Packaging and delivery, particularly safe packaging and fast delivery, were also shown to be key factors linked to consumer satisfaction. Additionally, SNS-related topics indicated that positive reactions and influencer marketing could serve as important promotional tools.
